A Guide To Darbonne's Commands and Shortcuts

I. Navigation
To "look" (i.e. reload the room description) type:  l  (short for look, not the #1)
To walk north, south, east, west, down or out, type:   n, s, e, w, d, or out
To walk to any other exit (such as if there is a "door") type: go (exit name)
** Note: If an exit name has two words, such as "blue door" type the first word as your target

II. Player interaction
To see who else is on, type: who
To send a message to an individual player, type: tell (player) (your message)
To talk with other players in the same room as you, type: say (your message)
A shortcut for the "say" command is the apostrophe.  For example:
'  hello   =  say hello  (you need a space between the apostrophe and the message)
To follow another player, type: fol (playername).  For example:
If the player you wish to follow is named Sauron, type: fol sau      (fol player)
While you are in a group (following someone or vice versa) you can grouptalk: gt (message)

III. Stats
To see your short stats, type: sc (short for "score")  OR heal (short for "health")
To see your long stats, type: inf (short for "information")
Your prompt reports your health/hit points and magic/mana points.  Ex: (19 H  2 M)

IV. Battle (k monster)
Suppose there's a "dirty hag" and a "dirty beggar" in the room.  If you want to attack the  beggar, you should probably type:  k be  (k = attack).  You could type: k d  but you risk targeting the dirty hag instead of the dirty beggar.
Assuming you know the vigor spell (which heals you), to cast it, you type: c v
If you have a weapon (example, a sword), to wield it, you type: use swo
If you are losing a fight, you can flee by typing: flee  OR  es (for "escape") OR run

IV. Repeat
You can repeat your previous command by typing:
This is useful in battle and walking a far stretch in the same direction.
